Heritage Party to stand in Senedd elections

The Heritage Party will be standing candidates in all areas of Wales in the Senedd elections in 2026.

The electoral system has been radically changed for this year’s elections, with 16 constituencies electing 6 members each by Proportional Representation.

The Heritage Party welcomes this change. Party Leader David Kurten stated:

“Proportional Representation is welcome in the Senedd elections. It means that every vote counts as people can vote for who they really want to, rather than voting negatively to keep out the worst choice, which is what happens with the First Past the Post system.”

The Heritage Party is seeking to gain election to the Senedd for the first time in 2026.
