Heritage Party Pre-election Press Conference

David Kurten and Kimberley Isherwood presented the Heritage Party’s pre-election press conference for the Welsh Senedd elections before polling day on 7th May 2026.

David Kurten, Heritage Party Leader, described the new voting system for the Senedd which is proportional and means that a challenger party can gain a seat with about 15% of the votes in a constituency. This means that people can vote positively for who they really want to be elected, rather than voting negatively for someone they don’t really support to keep out someone else they like even less.

Kimberley Isherwood, Leader in Wales, spoke on our headline policies for the Senedd:

  • Scrapping Comprehensive Sexuality Education.
  • Scrapping ‘net zero’ and protecting Welsh countryside and farmland.
  • Ending the ‘Nation of Sanctuary’ immigration program.
  • Scrapping 20 mph; restoring 30 mph as the default urban speed limit.

There followed a number of questions from the floor about the manifesto and situations concerning people living in Wales.
